Happy Syttende Mai!

May 20th, 2009 by Jody

The Syttende Mai celebration happened this weekend in Ballard and though we missed the parade because of Jonah’s nap schedule and a previously planned PEPS function we did make it down to see the Norwegian Fjord Horses on display at the Nordic Heritage Museum (I bet not all of you can boast of a Nordic Heritage Museum in your neighborhood, now can you? I think not.).
Here’s a picture of a little fluffy 7 week old who would have loved to nibble on Jonah’s fingers. Not because he was mean but all babies love to nibble, right?

There’s also a great little playground at the museum so we stopped to have a little swing and play on the slide.

Here are Jonah and Marley not quite knowing what to think of the horses.

It was a great day for a stroll around the neighborhood and to view the horses, which were quite beautiful. We are welcoming summer around here with open arms!
